Welcome
Wester Caputh House is a large, south facing self-catering farmhouse in beautiful Perthshire. You can find us in the peaceful village of Caputh, 4 miles east of Dunkeld on the River Tay.
The house sleeps 8 people in 4 rooms (2 twin, 2 double) with 2 sitting-rooms, 1 with wood burning stove and the other with an open fire. It has a real cottage feel!
There is also additional individual accommodation for up to 17 people at Wester Caputh Lodge and also the Hayloft - a large, bright, airy and tranquil room which is available for all types of gatherings.
There is a large elevated garden with a wonderful south facing view over the River Tay and the trees of Murthly Estate. It has a sheltered area with BBQ for relaxing with a bottle of wine or your book for those lazy evenings! There is off-road parking and secure storage if required for bikes and other equipment.
The nearby historic cathedral town of Dunkeld is delightful and is centred around a medieval square with lovely walks along the River Tay. Perthshire is truly beautiful - the scenery is spectacular and the house is extremely well positioned to explore the surrounding countryside and all its treasures - The Birks of Aberfeldy, Killiecrankie Visitor Centre, The Hermitage, Loch of The Lowes and its famous Ospreys, Blair Castle, many whisky distilleries and Pitlochry with its own small theatre.
